Hanging isn’t just restricted to Microsoft’s laptops and tablets though, with even PC-utilizing Insiders experiencing freezing or a blue screen when waking up from hibernation. In a blog post, Microsoft says it’s currently working on the problem and asks consumers to press down on the power button to initiate a hard reboot. The OS freezes the device completely, rendering the trackpad, touchscreen and Type Cover keyboard useless. This is the problem being faced by Surface Book, Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4 users who have upgraded to Windows 10 build 14279.
While the fast ringers get first crack at the software, they also have to endure all the bugs that accompany early releases. Microsoft has pushed out the latest version of Windows 10 to its group of Insiders in the ‘fast ring’ AKA the people who get the software first, followed by individuals in the ‘slow ring’ and finally the general population.
